Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful one
to whom the Lord has given skill
and understanding to know how to do
any work in the construction of the sanctuary
shall work in accordance with all
that the Lord has commanded.
Moses then called Bezalel and Oholiab and
every skillful one to whom the Lord had given skill,
everyone whose heart was stirred
to come to do the work
Exodus 36:1-2
If you didn't read this weekend's devotion, it's important to start there ... if you want, indeed, to understand freedom.
God gave Bezalel and Oholiab the skill to build the Tabernacle. Their skill and effort and work would help usher in the presence of the Lord.
How would they do this? Second, they would "work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded." But what must come first? First, their "heart [needed to be] stirred to come to do the work."
You -- with the help of fellow Christians -- have the skill to build a tabernacle in your heart and usher in (more fully) the presence of the Lord. What will it take to do this? What will begin to set you free?
First, you "heart [must be] stirred to come to do the work." God is beckoning. Will you come?
Second, will you "work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded"? Will you do it his way? Will you trust? Will you obey? Will you yield yourself to study, learn, and follow his Word? Will you do it his way? Will you work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded?
