For six days, work is to be done,
but the seventh day shall be your holy day,
a Sabbath of rest to the Lord.
Exodus 35:2
For a couple of years, I've not missed many days of daily devotions. When going on trips, I'd even try to work ahead.
I've obviously missed the last few days. Hopefully you've noticed!!! I know I have. There is a power that comes from turning regularly to God's Word.
In the next few weeks, celebrate with my family as I go on a mission trip, vacation on a beach, marry-off my son, and help the new Mr. and Mrs. Thomas move to Connecticut! I will see you most Sundays, but will be serving and celebrating most weeks.
In place of daily devotions, the next email will have 26 separate and complete devotions. They are "the best of" from last year (based on your comments, not my own self-evaluation). From A-Z, these devotions are a 26-day alphabet of praise. [click here to go back to them ... they will not all be reposted. October 26 to November 20 on the sidebar.]
Join me in praising God as we enjoy this summer!
In Christ's Love,
a guy who's ready for a little, Biblically ordained,
rest, relaxation, and recreation
